How to Teach Beginning Blends!

  1. Love it! I have a set of bland mats in my TPT shop (not that you need any ides) but they are great for intervention because it is repetitive and easy for them once they get he hang of it =)
Glad you are feeling better and your boy is such a cutie, I've enjoyed watching him grow up on your blog posts!

This is fabulous! I'm a brand spankin new Year 1 teacher and I begin next week (live in Australia). This is going to definitely come in handy. Thanks Abby, I'm a huge fan of all your work!

  6. My kids got the plague too. I had 13 of 22 out most of the week last week.
I didn't get it but had pneumonia over Christmas:(…hope you feel better soon!

  7. Jane says:

I have always LOVED your anchor charts! As I was making my one today in my room, I thought "I wish I could make this more artsy like the ones I see on blogs". 🙂 I also really like how you include a photo on the supplies page.

Hope you'll come check out the little give-a-way I'm having this week.

  12. Lauren says:

I was a 1st grade teacher and recently got moved to k-Special Education. I miss being in a classroom full time too! 🙂

  13. Oh my, did I put "bland" mats instead of "blend"…AND "he" instead of "the"?? That's what I get for typing quickly while my three year old crawled all over me! I am such a dork! I promise, they are NOT bland!! haha

I just posted today on blends too! I'm actually taking a week off of our basal program, just to go back and re-visit all of the beginning and ending blends as well as word families. Your packet looks great though! Can't wait to start making my own anchor charts! I just made a simple little Blender BINGO game and I was impressed with myself. Now, I'm officially awestruck. 🙂

  16. Ashley says:

Holy smokes! You never cease to amaze me. I was working on stuff for blends today, too! I'm actually going to keep our basal program closed this week and really go back and re-visit blends. I just made a simple Blender BINGO game/freebie and I thought I was something else. Now, I'm awestruck! Awesome job!!!
