I love flash cards too!!! I haven't really heard of many people who weren't fans of flash cards. Of course you always start off with manipulatives, but flash cards are perfect for fluency of facts … couldn't agree more!! My kiddos in my class always like to flash card each other!!

What a great experience you and your son have being able to home school. And your daughter is oh so adorable!

Looks like SO much fun (& a lot of hard work!). We are tackling Stellaluna and the National Geographic Bats book (love!) next week. Thanks for all the inspiration! Jen 🙂

Love doing math on scrap paper! It always seems to be the simplest things that help the kids most with fluency.

You're doing such a fabulous job! And working at home when you aren't even homeschooling still isn't easy. I can't imagine even trying to fit homeschooling in right now.

What a blessing to stay home with your babies and still teach! Can't wait to see what you do with bats! Love you!!

My students loved highlighters and stamps, too! It was such a minor change in activities, but it always produced big results! Thank you for sharing!

Your blog is amazing and inspiring. Can I ask what program you use to upload your pictures and place your Inspired Apple Words? It looks so beautiful!
