Metal Chalkboard Chair Decorations

This is a super easy way to make your kitchen table chairs (or barstools or whatever) festive and fun! Use these metal chalkboard chair decorations at your holiday get-together!
Here’s what you’ll need to make your own metal chalkboard chair decorations:

White Chalk Marker/Chalk/Soapstone
Metal Chalkboard
Festive Accessories
Magic Eraser
Ribbon

Chalk marker from Michaels Metal chalkboards were purchased at Hobby Lobby for 40% off, regularly $4.99/ea. Festive Star Accessory from Target Dollar Spot Magic Eraser from Kroger Ribbon from Hobby Lobby.

Think of something fun to write on your chalkboard, or maybe even just label them with the names of your family members.  Write it in pencil first, if you want.  You don’t have to be fancy with your lettering – you’ll still love the look when it all comes together.  {Tip: If you mess up, simply use a damp Magic Eraser to remove!  Dry with a paper towel.}  Add some holiday pizzazz, if you want – holly berries, a Santa hat, ornaments, whatever.

Cut your ribbon about 20-25 inches long and then tie the ribbon to the chair back with a single loop.  Pull as tight as you possibly can to secure it in place.  It will likely slip a little and you’ll have to readjust   every now and then, anyway.

Place the chalkboard hanger over the knot.  Tie a another single knot over chalkboard hanger.  Add festive accessory and then tie another knot to secure all in place.  {Pretty sure you don’t have to follow this sequence exactly, as I initially added the little star after double-knotting the hanger in place.}

Voila!

How easy was that?!
Happy Wednesday!
