What is this resource?
This assessment was developed to align with reading and math foundational skills, along with Kindergarten Common Core Standards.
It was designed to give teachers and families a peek at their students’ starting point and progress throughout the school year.
This assessment should be given at the beginning of the school year as a benchmark, and then at the end of each term to monitor and show progress.
There are some skills that can be assessed as a whole group, and others that must be assessed one-on-one. It is my advice to spend a few days working through this assessment, taking it a few sections at a time. This will help prevent assessment fatigue and allow students to show their skills most accurately.
A Student Report is included to condense assessment information and provide data that can easily be distributed to parents and other teachers.
