The world will soon be buzzing with all things Winter Games as Beijing, China prepares to host them in 2022! Your students will love these engaging activities that will better help them understand the different sports and athletes that are celebrated during this event. They’ll even learn to draw Bing Dwen Dwen, this year’s mascot! The activities can easily be used with kindergarten, first grade, and second grade students.

What grades are best suited to use this resource?
This resource was designed with kindergarten, first grade and second grade in mind, though some of the activities could be appropriate for preschool or third grade. Please ask questions and check out the preview if you aren’t sure whether or not this resource will fit your needs!

Will this resource be updated for future Winter Games?
This pack was originally created for the 2018 Winter Games and one update was promised for the 2022 Winter Games in Beijing, China. That promise has been fulfilled and this resource is current for the 2022 games. I do not guarantee any updates after that date for any subsequent Winter Games.

Who created this resource?
This resource was designed by W. Abby Mullins, a former kindergarten and first grade teacher and mother of three, who most recently was an interventionist. She has a B.A. in Psychology from The University of Kentucky, along with a B.A. in Elementary Education from Northern Kentucky University. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Teaching from NKU with a specialization in leadership. Abby is passionate about education an enjoys creating materials that engage and inspire teachers and students alike!
