How to Take {Perfect} Christmas Pictures
^^^ Title typed in sarcasm font ^^^
A fellow blogger recently posted about how to take pictures in front of the Christmas tree with that fancy bokeh effect. Bokeh is the photog term for blurred lights. I am not a fancy photog, but I do like bokeh, so I thought I would give it a shot.
So, here’s how to take {Perfect} Christmas pictures:
Select two really cute subjects.
Boom. Done.
Change your settings on your camera. (I will defer you to this post because Becky is good at explaining this technical stuff and I am not. Also, her post was the one I read that inspired this little photo sesh, and she is a good teacher.)
Then, get snap happy.
And, by snap happy, I mean take 478 pictures of your cute kids, while praying for patience and one – just one – perfect picture.
Okay, so they all kind of turned out perfect in a goodness -they’re-cute kinda way, and I kinda wanted to send Beckham to the moon for his hilarious six-year-old humor.
Lastly, go through your camera and literally find ONE where both kids are smiling and looking at the camera.
Amazing. I don’t even know how it happened.
And, by golly, would ya look at that bokeh?! #nailedit
This was the last picture I snapped. I think it sums up how we all felt by the time I was done subjecting them to the torture that is posed pictures…
And that, my friends, is how to take {Perfect} Christmas pictures!
I think you nailed it – 478 pictures only to cross your fingers and hope ONE turns out. I still remember being forced to pose with my older sisters every year after Thanksgiving and then going through every picture after they got developed. Your kids pics turned out adorable! Storie
Just precious! It's always worth the effort when you get THE ONE, but you gotta love that last pic. It's a look I've seen on Small's face, the kind of look that says, "If I see that camera again, I'm outta here."
I seriously love the one in the center of the composite with the laughing Faith and funny faced Becks. Precious all of them. Mels Ms. K/1 ELL A Teacher's Plan
