Summer Project: Home Office Decoration and Organization

Heeeeeeeeeey, you guuuuuuuuuys!
I know!  It’s been forever, right?!
Sorry, with the end of the school year and the start of summer, blogging has been the last thing on my mind 😛
But, I’m going to try to have some content running at The Inspired Apple this summer.  It might be school-related, it might not.  You know how that goes.
I’ve done pretty much zero decorating since we’ve moved.  My office is the biggest catch-all of everything right now.  Accessories are randomly thrown onto the bookcases, stacks of mail are piled here and there, and I’m pretty sure there’s an unopened printer still in the bag on the floor.  Well, I know so.
My excuse was that I was waiting for summer.  Well, hello, summer.  You’re here and I’ve got to get on it before I’m waiting for Fall Break.  Exactly.
So, this week, I vow to tackle the office.  Which is kind of school-related since I intend to keep school stuff in there, right?
Right now, it is green.  Not as green as it looks in the pictures, but definitely green.  I’m very gray when it comes to paint and a commitment-phobe to color, so I’m not sure that I will paint.  Yet.
Okay, let’s be honest, it will probably wind up some variant of gray.  #typical
Desk, bookcases, chair, and rug will likely stay.
I would love a vintage wingback chair with an ottoman up against the wall on the right.  It’ll have to be cheap and bedbug free.  I’m open to a pattern with a fun pillow.
This would be great:
I definitely need some storage.  These floating shelves are lovely, and so are the hanging racks.
I really need some boxes, too.
Then, there’s wall arrangements.  Putting nails into walls scares the bejeebees out of me.  That commitment thing again.
This whole room is fun, but I would love to incorporate some Beckham-art into the space, along with things that I’ve made and/or found at thrift shops.
So, it’s Saturday.  If I’m good – and not at the pool – I will try to pop in with updates throughout the week.  Otherwise, I’ll definitely show you the final space!
Off to shop Craigslist!
Happy Saturday 🙂
