Mystery Box Makeover!

Many, many moons ago, I found this great cardboard gable box at the Target Dollar Spot (naturally)  and decided it would make an excellent Mystery Box.  {I wrote a post about using it in my classroom to engage my students in a new unit back in the Winter of 2011.} gablebox  gablebox2 And, then.  Then, last week, whilst perusing the Target Dollar Spot again (naturally), I found this: 010 Stop it right now.  A POLKA DOTTED MYSTERY BOX.  I die.  I should’ve bought twelve.  I only bought one.  Of course, one thing led to another, and before I knew it, I’d completely revamped the old Mystery Box unit.  She’s looking a little more fresh these days… 013-001 014       017 If you already own my Mystery Box templates and activity sheets, you can go and download the newest version from TpT (go to My Purchases tab) free of charge!  If you’d like to purchase a copy, click the preview pic below 🙂 MysteryBoxPIC Also, in you’re wondering if I still love my new position, the answer is YES!  YES!  YES!  Like, a When Harry Met Sally YES!  I’ve moved on from testing and data analysis to the beast that is scheduling.  Holy cow.  Scheduling is cah-razy!  I’m responsible for coordinating the school-wide RTI schedule with that of every other schedule in the building and with our Intervention Team.  Completely crazy and I completely love it!  Once everything is in place, I’ll be working with – wait for it – intermediate students!  Ah!  My little primary heart is a teensy bit intimidated by those upper grades, but I’m so excited to teach them, too!  I’ll keep you posted 🙂 Here’s to a 4-day work week and pay day on Friday!  Wahoo!
