Milkshake Making with Borden Dairy Milk

This post has been sponsored by Borden. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

When I think of milk, the first thing that comes to mind is a milkshake.  As a child, I remember sitting at the counter of a local ice cream parlor and being thrilled when my parents let me order a banana milkshake.  It seemed so special compared to the usual single-scoop I was used to.

Now, I’m a mom with children of my own.  Desserts are for sure a favorite in our household. My kids love veering from the standard scoop of ice cream just as much as I did.

I was so excited to hear that Borden milk was available in Ohio again because now I’ve found the perfect way to enjoy this affordable and family-friendly treat right from the comfort of our own kitchen. Even better? My kids are getting an added dose of calcium with absolutely no objections. Milkshake making with Borden Dairy milk is the best… and who can resist a milkshake?!

Borden 2% White Milk and Borden Dutch Chocolate Milk provide a rich, creamy base for our milkshakes. I love that they’re both made from real, fresh Borden milk with NO hormones or antibiotics. Trusted by moms since 1857, Borden has built a reputation of wholesome dairy products for more than a century. That I can get behind, especially when it comes to what I serve my family.

We have no standard way for milkshake making at our house. Borden milk, vanilla ice cream and whatever add-ins we have on hand will do. Bananas and peanut butter are our personal favorites.  And, if someone wants a chocolate milkshake – because of course someone always wants a chocolate milkshake – we just add a generous pour of Borden Dairy Dutch Chocolate Milk in with the vanilla ice cream and blend until smooth. Works like a charm and the flavor is perfect.

Naturally, whipped cream, sprinkles and a swirl of chocolate syrup top off our treats. And, fancy straws. Can’t forget the fancy straws.

So, if you’re looking for an affordable, easy, and fun way to incorporate milk into your kids’ diets, I can’t help but recommend some good old fashioned milkshake making. Borden 2% White Milk and Borden Dutch Chocolate Milk will help you sneak in the healthy to this simple yet indulgent treat! Find Borden Dairy at your nearest location today!
