Months ago, I said a prayer where I asked my Heavenly Father for enough.  Not an overabundance of any one thing, but just enough.  Enough happiness, enough joy, enough love, enough money, enough time, enough patience, enough endurance.  Just enough.  It is so easy for me to seek more, to get nice and cozy and comfortable with more, when all I really need is enough.
And He has provided. Â When my patience wears thin, when I don’t know if I can endure one more day in the hospital, when I question if I should be working, when I’m not sure if I can carve out an hour in the day to just be present with my family – He gives me enough. Â
More importantly, I want to be satisfied with his provisions. Â To give Him glory for giving me my daily bread – whether it’s a kind word from a friend, a consoling hug from my husband, a meal delivered to my front door, or the kindness of friends and strangers letting me know that they prayed for my family – these are small things, yet important God-given things, that I shouldn’t let go unnoticed.
In the chaos of life for the past almost-four months, I’ve really had to rely on Him for enough. Â Each day presents a new challenge, whether it’s figuring out who’s picking up Beckham from school, a change in Faith’s care protocol, or if I actually have a spare ten minutes in my day to swing by the grocery store for some staples. Â We’re more than surviving, and I really can’t ask for more.
Faith continues to be hospitalized, though we’ve “graduated” from the NICU to another floor in the hospital that is more suited for her long-term care. Â We expect to be discharge within the next week – a major praise! Â Faith needs to be home. Â Becks needs us to be home. Â We ALL need to be home.
I thank you for your continued readership, prayers, and encouragement! Â I am really grateful!
I post pictures on Instagram pretty regularly (@babblingabby), but in case you don’t follow me there, here’s some recent photo ops…
Becks flying a cardboard box around the backyard…
Some days require late-night trips to DQ for a blizzard in your jammies…
A VERY brief visit home (18 hours), where Big Brother and Little Sister were reunited…
A little early morning physical therapy…
 Just busy being pretty…
Hope all is well in your world! Â Love from KY!
