Holiday Classroom Behavior Management

I know, I know. It’s not even Thanksgiving yet.
However, there is no time like NOW to be thinking about the whirlwind that will be the few weeks you have in the classroom after the Thanksgiving holiday.  Seriously, we’ll be looking 2016 in the eyes before you can say Clark Griswold. #favholidaymovie
One of my biggest struggles in the classroom during the holiday season is CLASSROOM BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT.  Good gravy with mashed potatoes.  The kiddos are certified residents of Crazytown because they can barely stand the thought of Santa and presents and elves and caroling and candy and…should I go on?  You know what I’m talking about.  The holiday cheer coupled with mid-year assessments could be a recipe for disaster without proper classroom behavior management strategies in place.

So, here’s where Holly Jolly Student Awards come into play.  These holiday-themed awards are *perfect* for giving out during the holiday season OR during a celebration at your holiday party.  Your kids will adore them.  And, combined with an inexpensive corresponding prize from your favorite dollar item retailer, you’ll pretty much be the best teacher EVER.
Behold…
Here are some of the 30+ included awards!
I had SO much fun shopping for the prizes!  And this is only a small sampling of what you could choose from.  The Dollar Tree had so many options it wasn’t funny!  Here are some pictures of other items that I didn’t purchase, but were available and perfect for prizes, too!
And, if you didn’t want to buy an individual prize for each award, just buy 25 of the same thing and your kiddos will still love it!  OR, bypass the prize altogether and issue the certificate alone OR with the badge they can wear around school.  I’m telling you, they will LOVE it and have an actual incentive to behave!  Just tell them that Santa is watching and will be telling you who should earn each award! (I might’ve told my kinders and first graders that anytime they saw the motion detector flash red it was indicating Santa’s camera was recording them…#whateverworks)
