Because I really want to post about how much I’m totally DREADING the next 15 school days {cough statetesting cough}, but I’m trying super duper hard to keep it positive and inspiring around here, I’m not going to talk about it. {But that doesn’t mean I won’t talk about it tomorrow. Or the next day. Or the next 13 school days after that.}
This past week Treasures brought me back to space and since we’d already done astronauts, I decided I’d add a moon component to it! My kids were, um, over the moon for it! We’re actually extending it into this coming week, so there will *hopefully* be more pics to come 🙂
Until then, here’s a little glimpse at what we’ve been up to…
Since we didn’t get to it during our astronaut unit, we started out the week with a spaceship glyph.
Our story this week in Treasures was Little Bear Goes to the Moon {precious, btw!} and we created a class book…
Then, we read Mooncake and used a Venn diagram to compare and contrast the two stories.
We also created our own recipes for mooncake and then completed a little craftivity…
And, because I love all of my followers dearly and it is the start of Teacher Appreciation Week, I will be giving away copy of my Over the Moon unit to the first *THREE* commenters who can correctly guess who Becks {my 2-year-old son} got to meet this weekend! Hint: He was about a gazillion times as tall as Beckham and bleeds blue(jeans)!!!! Be specific with your guess!!!!
If you’d like to purchase this unit (that includes MANY more activities than just those posted here!), it’s for sale on my TpT site HERE 🙂
Furthermore, I’ll be back the rest of this week with some other Teacher Appreciation-esque news! I hope your weekend was stellar 🙂
