Plain White Tees: A Style Guide

Gals. I am 100% loving the plain tee trend. It’s so good. Easy, classic and stylish. You can dress it up, dress it down, wear it to school, church, date night, the gym. All the things. Also, CHEAP.

Five simple ways to style a plain white tee.

I have approximately zero experience as a fashion blogger, as evidenced by the amazingly awkward pics snapped below.  Like, what am I even looking at? Or, more accurately, not looking at? It’s fine. This is what they do, right?

ANYWAY.

Five different ways to style a white tee a là Abby. Of course, you could replace a white tee with any color that suits your fancy, so if grey or bright pink is more your vibe, you do you, boo.

Casual | white tee + blue jeans + fave kicks +  jewelry

Date Night  | white tee + black jeans + heels + coordinating jewelry

Basic Fall | white tee + leggings + sweater + boots + Pumpkin Spice Latté (optional 😉)

Gym/Athleisure | white tee + leggings + tennies

To Teach/To Work | white tee + dress + Converse + fave jewelry

(Not a) Pro Tip: Size up! The oversized look is in and I am here for it. Your ability to optimally tuck and tie a tee depends on the amount of fabric you have to work with. I typically wear a medium in tees, but because I love to do a half-tuck and tie it up on occasion, I grab a large. This also helps in the event there is some shrinkage post-wash so you’re not left with a clingy top. FYI: The tee I am wearing in the pictures above is an Old Navy Luxe Curved Hem V-Neck tee in size large.

My fave tees: Old Navy | Target | Madewell
