❤️️Valentines Day Writing Activity

This resource includes the templates to make a poster-sized Valentine, along with printables and labels for creating a Valentine letter to the person your class chooses! This is a great way to teach the letter-writing process through a whole-group, shared-pen activity! Afterwards, students can compose Valentines letters using the included Valentine letter papers (3 options included: lined, unlined, and dotted-line).

❤️️Valentines Day Math CentersThe math centers are standards-based and focuses on one of the following skills: solving story problems, reading number words and writing the numeral, non-standard measurement, greater than and less than comparisons, base ten blocks, making ten for three digit addition, solving equations, graphing and data interpretation, and number bonds! You’ll get a lot of bang for your buck with this pack!

This pack includes 8 Valentine-themed math centers for the month of February, aligned with the First Grade Common Core Standards. However, it could also be used for advanced kindergarteners or remediation in second grade.

❤️️Valentines Day Simple Centers: Digraphs

Do you love incorporating literacy centers into your day, but hate the prep that they involve? Then, this set of simple digraph centers was made for YOU! This set of high-engagement, low-prep activities focuses on several phonics based skills, including: listening for sounds, identifying sounds, sorting sounds, spelling, and writing! And, the best part? All you have to do is print!

Use these Valentines Day themed activity worksheets to help your students work on beginning digraphs and ending digraphs. They’re designed for kindergarten and first grade students, but could certainly work with our second grade friends, too!

*Please be advised, the spelling component of this activity IS challenging, as many of the words involve multiple spelling patterns combined and would best be suited for 2nd grade and above! However, inventive spelling or writing the sounds they can hear works just as well, plus focusing on the phonological awareness component!
