We began our lesson today reading my favorite non-fiction text about pumpkins: Pumpkin Circle by George Levenson. Very poetic and informative. The pictures are absolutely wonderful, too!
Then, we tasted our toasted pumpkin seeds. Mmmmm! Then we did a little pumpkin seed pre-write as a whole class, and the kiddos completed an individual response sheet that when along with it…
Then it was time to graph whether or not we liked the taste of our toasted pumpkin seeds…
Next, the kiddos completed individual graphs, colored in a little pumpkin seed packet, and, and wrote about their pumpkin seed experience…
